Dennis Allen from Saints HQ tells us about the rationale for the Saints drafting Spencer Rattler in the 5th round at #150, what the team looked for and saw in the players the Saints ended up drafting, and where the team is looking with the undrafted market opening up in the coming days and weeks.

Josiah Ezirim, offensive tackle from Eastern Kentucky, the final pick of the Saints 2024 NFL Draft, joins the guys to discuss joining the New Orleans Saints, his time at the East-West Shrine Game, his father's past playing soccer at Ohio State, what he expects heading to the NFL, and who he's worked out with this offseason.

Heading into our last hour, Deuce McAllister gives the guys a peek behind the curtain of how the draft process was for him, and finally, the Saints 7th round pick at #239 is offensive tackle from Eastern Kentucky, Josiah Ezirim, who has the size to become a monster for this Saints O-line. The draft just doesn't slow down as the 6th round pushes us closer and closer to the final pick in the 7th round at #239 that the Saints have, who would we like to see end up as that final pick, if even a punter is on the menu for New Orleans, and the Pels are getting beat something BAD as this playoff series has been U-G-L-Y. Also we hear from Khristian Boyd, Northern Iowa defensive tackle, who is a man on a mission in the trenches, going against "grown-ass men" as he calls them, and the Pelicans on the edge of falling devastatingly to OKC at home, does this lackluster playoff performance mean huge changes are coming for the Pels and the 7th round is finally starting up with the Saints having only 1 pick in this final round!

Khristian Boyd, a defensive tackle from Northern Iowa, talks about his time spent in New Orleans for his draft visit, who he visited with while he was in the Big Easy, Boyd's biggest influence on his style of play, his conversation with another Northern Iowa alum, Trevor Penning, and what is his mentality while he's in the trenches of a D-line.

Jaylan Ford, a linebacker from Texas now rocking the black & gold, joins WWL to talk about how he feels about being drafted by the Saints, what position he plays as a linebacker, the weight he plays at, his experience being on a possible contender with the Texas Longhorns this past season, his ability to intercept the ball often, and his interest in special teams.

With the Saints' 3rd pick of the 5th round wrapped up, the gang takes a crack at some of the picks that passed us by recently before Jaylan Ford, the newest Saints linebacker joins the guys to discuss what type of linebacker we might see from him, his experience playing at Texas and how that could translate to the big league, his reaction about being drafted by the Saints and his ability to hone in on the ball before we close out the hour with the 6th round pick at #199 as the Saints selected Northern Iowa defensive tackle, Khristian Boyd, what he might need to work on against other pros,

Bub Means, at pick #175 in the 5th round is the most recent addition to the Saints WR room as he discusses his time up in Pittsburgh, having family in Louisiana, what type of receiver he can play for New Orleans, and where he feels he can improve on. 

Spencer Rattler, the newest QB to join the Saints, joins the gang to talk about his time with Saints top brass, talking to legendary QB Archie Manning, his time winning chicken for a year at a basketball game, playing in this past Senior Bowl, and how other sports has helped developed his football skills!

We are live from Rouses Market over on Power with Steve, Mike, Deuce, and Mike, and the newest face on New Orleans Saints, Quarterback Spencer Rattler, joins the gang to talk about his draft process and visit with the Saints, winning $1,000 worth of chicken, what he can bring to the Saints QB room, his time playing other sports that helped build his football skills, his time at the Senior Bowl, and not far behind him follow picks #170 as the Saints select Pitt WR, Bub Means, and pick #175, Jaylan Ford, Linebacker from Texas, who brings much needed speed to this Saints defense, and as we close out this first hour, Bub Means, the newest WR heading to New Orleans, about his journey from Louisiana to Pitt and back here to New Orleans, his small time talking to the Saints during the draft process.

With the 5th round underway, Steve Geller, Mike Hoss, Deuce McAllister, and Mike Detillier preview who could be on the board for the Saints at pick #150, the Pelicans are against the wall as they host OKC Thunder in Game 3 in the Blender later today. Later on, the ole Dirty Birds in Atlanta select Notre Dame Linebacker, JD Bertrand, and before you know it, the New Orleans Saints select South Carolina Quarterback, Spencer Rattler, with pick #150, who might just be the Saints starter in a post-Carr era!

In the 2nd hour, the gang dives into a bunch of RBs coming off the board as the 4th round continues with our guesses, estimates, and predictions as to who the Saints would trade with as they might look to work their way into the 4th round. Also Steve and Deuce dive into some of the fantastic desserts and sweets you can find over at Rouses where the guys are spending the final day of the Draft, and towards the end of the hour, the 5th round finally gets underway meaning that the Saints will be on the clock shortly.

The 4th round chugs along with it as Michigan's 2023-2024 might break the record of most players drafted from a single program in a year, if the Saints could trade into the 4th round, who would be the team on the other end of that deal, and our first Day 3 LSU player comes off the board as defensive tackle, Jordan Jefferson gets selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars!

Dennis Allen following a successful but relatively quiet 2nd day of the NFL Draft discusses the rumors about the Saints chasing a QB, how Kool-Aid McKinstry ended up on the black & gold, his health heading into OTAs, and Marshon Lattimore's future with the team.
