Emily is a goddamn delight and we are so grateful she shared her story with us. Abuse doesn’t always look the same across the board, and Emily’s story is just one of many types of abusive relationships that exist out there. She is not a standard that anyone in abusive relationship should compare themselves too or criticize themselves against – she’s just one woman with a story that may help others feel less alone. Emily shared with us what’s it like to be in a seemingly perfect relationship, then to have her partner flip a complete 180. She tells us what it feels like to experience a partner start to use manipulation tactics and attempt to isolate her from her friends and family, and when she tried to tell others about it, no one believed her. After sharing her story she gives advice to people struggling in abusive relationships – we think a lot of people can
