A virtual event presentation by Dr. Paul Root Wolpe ABOUT THE EVENT: Two paradigms of human-created ‘monsters’ have reverberated through modern history as models for considering everything from genetic safety, to scientific hubris, to man’s relationship to the material world and G-d. In this talk we compare these two legends and discuss why they portray Humankind so differently and teach such different lessons. ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Paul Root Wolpe, Ph.D. is the Raymond F. Schinazi Distinguished Research Chair in Jewish Bioethics, Professor of Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, and Sociology, and the Director of the Center for Ethics at Emory University. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Bioethics – Neuroscience, and sits on the editorial boards of over a dozen professional journals. Dr. Wolpe served for 17 years as Senior Bioethicist for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He is Immediate Past-President of the Association of Bioethics Program Directors,
