Simple Church

Continuing in our series "Romans", Paul appeals to his readers by explaining faith to them. Once we are believers in Christ, we are no longer bound by the law because we cannot follow the law without sin. Throughout scripture, we can clearly see men of faith, believers in Christ and those who were counted as righteous fell into sin. We sin because we are human. Our faith and surrender to Christ releases us from the bondage of sin. We have been made righteous through Jesus' resurrection and defeat of sin; our dead hearts have been made alive. Steadfast strength is not found within ourselves. When we put our weight against Him, it is counted as righteousness.    Romans 4:1-25; Psalm 51:1-5; 9-17 Jameson Thacker
