That is to consider yourself less worthy than anyone else. This is an important concept in order to lead a good life. Objectively speaking you might say, “How can you consider yourself less meritorious than those who at least appear to be less worthy of your own respect?” You have to bear in mind a very important concept, not to judge anyone until you actually have reached their place.
