Barney attended Roanoke College and received his BBA degree. He then began his career in high tech sales and worldwide sales management including 17 years with Intel Corporation. He also helped developed Intel's e-business capabilities. Barney was introduced to the Massage Envy franchise opportunity via a broker in 2003 and then signed on with the Massage Envy franchise a year later in 2004.
