Evangelical Disciple

Homily from the 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time. We all gain a heavenly inheritance when we're baptized as disciples of Jesus Christ. There is one thing that can steal our inheritance away from us, and that is sin. Jesus knows this, of course, so he uses some pretty striking language about what we're to do with sin. As we become more aware of its power to steal our salvation, why wouldn't we do everything in our power to cut it out of our lives?
