Evangelical Disciple

Homily from the 32nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Jesus takes notice of those who give everything they have to him, because these people reveal their need for a Savior. All are welcome to hold onto their possessions, but Jesus was not sent to save the self-sufficient. He was sent to redeem the lowly, the afflicted, the brokenhearted, and the humble. Our lives need to reflect our need for a Savior.
