Sinopse

Robert Arneson's "Alice House Wall," 1967, is a massive mural composed of 39 individual ceramic bricks. The individual elements sit on top of each other without any external support, and so the piece has always been difficult to exhibit and store. This piece will have a prominent place outside of the auditorium at the museum's new building at 2 Columbus Circle, and so we are restoring it to its original condition. This piece features conversations with MAD registrar Linda Clous and conservators Leslie Gat and Linsly Boyer. Conservation of "Alice House Wall" was made possible by a generous grant from the Henry Luce Foundation.
