Sinopse

Narrated in English - Ages: 7+ - A tale of good deed, turned good fortune. As an escaped slave, Androcles flees his masters house into the deep dark forest. Here, he encounters a ferocious lion stalking him. As he flees with fear, he trips on a tree root surely sealing his fate. The approaching lion does not intend harm but only cries out in pain due to a thorn lodged in his right paw. The courageous Androcles frees the thorn from the lions paw acquiring not only the right to his life but a good friend as well. However, in the dead of night, soldiers sent by Androcles master capture him, condemn him to death and throw him in the lions cage. Fortunately for our hero, this is no ordinary lion but his old forest friend, who smothered him with love and affection upon first sight. Residing over the days events was the Emperor and so fascinated was he, that the friends, Androcles and the Lion, were granted freedom.
