Have you ever had an experience where someone you may know or who you may have met did not recognize you? Alternatively, have you not recognized someone who acknowledged you? Uncomfortable is one word for it, but it becomes quite different with someone with whom you have spent a great deal of time. This was the case with Jesus and the encounters after the resurrection. Key people did not recognize. We today are in the same position, How do we recognize the presence of Christ when we are busy with everything that is not about the business of Christ?
