Many people miss an important part of sanctification by omitting or failing to understand that it began in eternity when God set apart the elect for salvation. Furthermore, they are sanctified in the finished work of Christ and manifest as life of sanctification after their regeneration by living a life of an overcomer. Paul was thankful for the Christian life reflected in the life of the Colossians.
