For 1500 years the Christian community did not question the validity of I John 5-7 and for over 1800 years it was not left out of any translation. Afterwards, there was a cloud of witnesses among scholars and theologians that continued to support the truth that this passage is the inspired Word of God. The Scottish minister, Robert Traill, said of I John 5-7, -A place of scripture, that the devil's diligence hath not been small to weaken, and to beat out of the Bible, though in vain.-
