Rabbi Neil Blumofe is the Senior Rabbi of Congregation Agudas Achim in Austin, Texas. Originally from outside of Chicago, Neil chose chose to come to Austin in 1998 to help be a part of and build the pioneering spirit in Austin. In this episode Jeremy and Neil talk spirituality, community, jazz and how they are all related. They talk about breath, truth and the importance of connecting with people in the quickening pace of our present day. In 2014 Neil was in Jerusalem where missiles were being launched at the city. Air raid sirens would come out of nowhere and people didn't know what to do. The first step was breathing. Then came a melody. At the end of the podcast Rabbi Neil and Jeremy sing this melody together.
