  • The Amazing Vision Of Continuity

    23/10/2014 Duração: 09min

Apple's goal, it seems, is to make all the digital tasks you do possible on all the devices Apple makes. This is a vision Apple calls Continuity. Continuity is a new feature that comes with iOS 8 on the iPhone/ iPad, and OS X Yosemite with the Mac. You're able to start a task on one device, switch to another device, and pick up that task where you left off. For example, start typing an email on your iPhone and easily switch to a Mac with one click, then finish the drafted email on a standard keyboard and mouse. But this notion can be carried into all sorts of other environments. What about CarPlay in the car? What about Apple TV in the living room? What about HomeKit? How can Continuity play into those platforms? • Is The Big Fruit A Bully To Manufacturers?

    17/10/2014 Duração: 06min

GT Advanced Technologies is a company that took on a major project from Apple earlier this year to provide sapphire for Apple’s upcoming Watch, and, as the rumors have said, possibly a couple iPhones later in their partnership. The two companies were supposed to last a full five years together, but within the first year things have already gone downhill for GT Advance. • Pay Will Change The Way We Think About Payment

    14/10/2014 Duração: 08min

As I’m sure you’ve heard, Apple has announced their latest and greatest iPhones. The iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. They have also stepped into a new product category with the Watch, claiming that it’s the most personal product they’ve ever made. But Apple has also taken on a whole new initiative, and that's Pay (pronounced ‘Apple Pay’).

  • Ep 9 - Apple TV Refresh

    08/10/2014 Duração: 03min

Coming up here on October 16th, 2014, Apple is set to announce a few new products. Many top execs at Apple have been touting this product line-up all year long, building up the hype and making all us nerds giddy inside. They have released an invitation to the press for an event to be held at 10am Pacific, in their intimate Town Hall auditorium. The invitation shows (as pictured above) a sleek rainbow colored Apple logo with the tagline “It’s been way too long.” Very often nowadays they will release tagline like these that tease what’s to come, but this one seems like more of a head-scratcher than most. What could that mean? Well, to be honest it could mean a whole lot. Most likely it does. The Apple TV seems the most likely update to me, since some developers have recently reported that the 8.1 beta 2 has HomeKit support for the Apple TV (released as a Developer Preview earlier this week). It's been a long time since that thing has been updated. And honestly I find the Apple TV's interface to be horrible,

Follow us on Twitter! @commandtabpod, @benheutmaker, @curiousurick The iPad's hardware is nice, beautiful, and efficient. But feature wise it's falling behind the times just a bit. But what would happen if Apple put out a 12.2" iPad Pro? What implications come with that type of tablet? How would it change the way you use an iPad?
