Jesus' whole life was a journey...from His baptism by John the Baptist all the way to the cross.. His journey was all part of God's Plan for mankind's salvation. The question is how do these events impact our lives today?

We have spiritual seasons in our lives and like physical seasons, we look forward to the next one. We can often want the change to the next season to come so bad, that we don’t stop and reflect on what the current season is doing for us. How many often wonder "What is God's will for my life? What's my purpose in this life? What does God want me to do? Many times we feel we have a purpose, more than what we are doing now. In our lives, we can often become too busy with day to day activities that we don’t see when the dross builds up until God unleashes His wrath. When things in our lives are slow moving, prayers going unanswered, and we don't seem to be growing spiritually, there may be something that is hindering your progress. That may mean it's time to take off the brakes.

Worshiping and following God is entirely up to us. Whether or not we put other things first is also up to us. God is there waiting for us but we have to want to experience His Presence.

Things are happening in our world around us, and sometimes it seems that all is out of control. God has the answers for us so that we can victoriously survive these times. (Music Intro: "Here We Are" By Don Moen)

There are forces of darkness trying to take our eyes off Jesus. We cannot allow ourselves to be distracted by things, people, or situations that would cause us to lose our focus. When we strive for Jesus, we will be able to ignore these distractions.

Who wants to hear from God? What do you have to do to hear from God? What will you do when you hear from God? These are valid questions because you might be missing out on the most important aspect of your life, and God might be waiting on you. (Music Intro "Here We Are" by Don Moen)

The act of people publicly signaling their virtue goes way back, and the Lord Jesus addressed virtue signaling in the books of Matthew and Luke long before it was called by that name. God is doing a new thing in our lives for 2023. However, we must ensure that we don't get side tracked or deterred from fulfilling God's will for us. The enemy wants to exert control over our lives but we must remember that God is in control.

With the old year out, and the new year in, we see an increase in biblical prophecy manifesting in the world around us. The question is, will we be ready to discern the truth as God reveals it? Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas. This is an important day for Christians and we should not take it for granted. Without the birth of Jesus, we would not have victory, health, or the ability to obtain eternal life.

The bible says that we should be Christ-like, so that means that we should be bold in the face of challenges in our lives. We do not have to fear or worry, for the Lord Our God is with us.

If you’re not making time to get alone with God you're heading for struggles in this life. Many times we want to spend time with God but something always comes up to prevent us. Life is full of tests and rarely do we find ourselves in a situation we are unprepared for. In order to ensure we stay ready for upcoming tests, there are several actions we can take that will keep us from being caught off guard. (Music Intro: "I Sing Praises to Your Name" by Kent Henry)

The book of Hebrews says "Without faith, it is impossible to please God". In fact, we cannot even begin to approach the Lord and experience a personal relationship with Him without faith.
