Be sure to visit next time for Polymer Clay TV and we'll show you more about them.

If you make jewelry or tiny objects and sell them, eventually you need a way to display them. We found these at www.easyearringcards.com, and they are basically a paper punch that you can use to make a beautiful, professional presentation for your small artworks or earrings and pendants.  There's been a lot of news lately surrounding Polyform products- they are announcing their new color line up and have made some surprising choices. Check out Polyform on facebook to see what the buzz is about.

  • Polymer Clay Podcast # 160- time to sell your stuff online!

    24/09/2010 Duração: 14min

We would like to encourage you to get a website, and soon! It's so easy these days. On Etsy.com, you can set up a page full of items in a few minutes, for about $3. Artfire.com has a different kind of deal, right now (Sept '10) you can get a LIFETIME pro level account for $5.95 a month. There are dozens of other sites where you can list your items and sell them. Indiepublic is a great place to set up a free gallery. There are place to get inexpensive business cards, too. There is no excuse to not be accessible to potential customers online. It's easy and in many cases very affordable. Listen in, we'll guide you thru!

  • Polymer Clay Podcast # 158 - Magic Glos and Magic Transfer Paper- the perfect match

    26/08/2010 Duração: 10min

We've decided to carry wonderful Magic Glos- a UV curing resin. It's the perfect companion for your Magic Transfers, since they really should be sealed with something that will bring out the colors in your designs. All you need to cure Magic Glos is the sun- or a small UV light (the kind you see at nail salons.) If you choose to get a light, you can get it from Lisa Pavelka's site for about $36. Come back for PolymerClayTV, where we will show you how to do this!

  • Polymer Clay Podcast # 156 - cover aluminum beer bottles with clay!

    29/07/2010 Duração: 10min

In these green days, when we are all looking to conserve, reuse, and recycle, why not make something beautiful out of something totally mundane? There must be an economic advantage to putting beer in decorative aluminum bottles. Whatever the reason, it leaves us with great raw material to decorate with clay! Think of the possibilities. The bottles are lightweight enough to use tin snips to change the shape of the top, or put a decorative hole in the side. Be sure to cover the entire thing, or you may experience cracking of the clay or sharp edges- you don't want to hurt anyone! So find your beer-guzzling friends, and next time a bottle is headed for the trash, ask for it so you can purposefully recycle it into art.

And, we're releasing a new ezine soon- so if you are not currently subscribing to our newsletter, or even if you ARE- be sure to visit our newly designed site and sign up on the sidebar for the ezine.
