After an unplanned month off due to slim news in Middle-earth, we're back with highlights of Tolkien related news since the last episode.December 19 was the red letter date when the Yahoo News UK and Ireland site reported a two year delay for the Hobbit movie. The good folks at BilboHobbit.com as well as multiple other sites posted the news as reported, and then Guillermo Del Toro himself squashed the erroneous article on the OneRing.net... all on the same day! No wonder nobody wants to buy Yahoo.Also making Dec. 19 a monumental news day - the makers of the beautiful looking independent fan film "The Hunt For Gollum" released the first full trailer on the Hunt4Gollum blog. The makers have graciously allowed use of part of the score on Middle-earth Minutes since the get-go.January 3rd was, and is, the birthday of J.R.R. Tolkien.
