 In a first-of-its-kind settlement, advocates for people who are blind have reached an agreement with Netflix to make accessible the movies and videos offered through the Netflix video streaming and DVD rental subscriptions. (music) Vision Aware – American Foundation for the Blind Safe Cooking Techniques for Cooks Who Are Blind or Have Low Vision Safe Cooking Tips • Wear short sleeves or roll your sleeves above the elbow when working at the stove. • Wear oven mitts to handle pots and pans. • Set a timer to remind you when to turn off the stove and electrical appliances. • Make sure all your appliances are in good working order and avoid overloading circuits. • Use a vegetable peeler instead of a knife for peeling fruits and vegetables. • Consider using a pizza cutter rather than a knife for cutting, or try out a pivot knife that is connected to a cutting board. • Don't store spices on a shelf above the stove. • Don't remove a pan from the stove before you turn off the flame.

When capturing Audio on the go,The best recorder is the one you have on hand! Thus, I find my iPhone is always on me and nearly ready to go when I need it. With the addition of my Apogee or Shure MV88 microphones and either the BossJockStudio App or the Motiv App from Shure, I am safe to say that I can get the audio quality I want at a drop of a hat. That’s not to say that one needs to spend $150 or $225 for one of these microphones for the iPhone, with a bit of post editing the iPhone mic can work in a pinch. And taking advantage of the BossJockStudio App’s recording capabilities especially the ability to shut off the IOS processing in the mic circuitry, your iPhone now becomes a mean and lean recording machine.
