Shanon Lee is a writer, activist and filmmaker that has been featured on HuffPost Live, The Wall Street Journal and Real Simple. As a member of the Speakers Bureau for the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN), many know her through her advocacy work for survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault.  Today she joins Cheryl to discuss her film Marital Rape Is Real and how to thrive after domestic abuse and sexual assault. Marital Rape Is Real is screened at events for nonprofit organizations that help victims of intimate partner violence and was designed to raise awareness, demonstrate resilience and inspire hope.
