'Twas the Night Before Christmas by Clement Clarke Moore, written in 1822   A tradition in my family ever since I can remember and one that I've always been quite fond of. This poem by Clement Clarke Moore, written in 1822, also known as "A Visit from St. Nicholas" has been charming young and old for almost two centuries. It was first published in 1823 on December 23rd. It has been a success and a truly American embodiment of the Christmas Season ever since.
