Satan is a liar and deceiver.  There is no truth in him.  If he is talking he's lying.  As followers of Jesus we must be careful that we don't fall prey to Satan's schemes and traps.  One of Satan's greatest traps is to cloak selfishness and self-awareness as if is was a tribute God gave us.   It was the consequence of Adam and Eve's disobedience.  We are deceived into believing that since everybody is looking out for #1 then we should as well.  God has called us to take up our cross daily.  Our old man is dead and Jesus is Lord of our life and not us.  We aren't in control but His Holy Spirit is or should be.

The wilderness is not the greatest place to be but it is necessary.  We've all been through a wilderness time in our life.  If you haven't you will.  It can be an amazing time of learning and growing closer to God or it can be a time of bitterness and pain.  The question is, what are you doing with the tree that is in your wilderness?  The tree in the story of Moses and the children of Israel represented the voice and power of God and what they were going to do with it.  Men's Pastor Ryan Moreaux fervently tells us how they dealt with the Tree in there wilderness and how to deal with ours.

The wilderness is not the greatest place to be but it is necessary.  We've all been through a wilderness time in our life.  If you haven't you will.  It can be an amazing time of learning and growing closer to God or it can be a time of bitterness and pain.  The question is, what are you doing with the tree that is in your wilderness?  The tree in the story of Moses and the children of Israel represented the voice and power of God and what they were going to do with it.  Men's Pastor Ryan Moreaux fervently tells us how they dealt with the Tree in there wilderness and how to deal with ours.

This is probably one of the most famous parables Jesus told.  Also, one of the few that He explained to His disciples.  The pragmatism that Jesus uses with this parable transcends all ways of thinking.  It would seem obvious to all people how this applies to our lives but Jesus thought it worthy of explanation.  The intentionality that the sower used for planting the seed determined it's outcome.  You don't get what you don't plant.  We must be deliberate in our walk with Jesus and with our sowing the seed of the gospel in people lives that we come across everyday.
