    Welcome to Episode 13 of the Krishna.com Sanga podcast.In this episode, Nagaraja reads "A Life of Ideal Service" from the March / April 2007 issue of Back to Godhead magazine. This is an obituary article about the life of His Holiness Bhaktisvarupa Damodara Swami, a life-long devotee of Krishna who recently passed away. During his lifetime, he spread Krishna consciousness around the world, especially in his home state of Manipur, India. He directed the Bhaktivedanta Institute to further the scientific study of the soul. The Glories of Ekadasi, translated by Bhumipati Dasa, describes the stories of the 26 Ekadasi (fasting) days in the Vaishnava calendar year. And two historical commentaries on Lord Krishna's Bhagavad-gita by eminent Vaishnava scholars, now available in English: Saratha-varsini-tika, by Visvanatha Chakravarti Thakura, and Gita Bhusana, by Baladeva Vidyabhusana.You'll also hear an up-close and personal interview with Mayapur Lila Dasi, one of our staff members who comes to us from South Africa. She talks about her first encounter with Krishna consciousness, her childhood growing up in a South African Catholic school, the ongoing dialogue of faith with her devout Catholic mother, and about how she finally ended up at Krishna.com and Back to Godhead magazine.
