  • I Am Coming To The Cross (Instrumental)

    07/04/2013 Duração: 03min

    Words: William McDonald, 1870, Public Domain:“The hymn was written in 1870 in the city of Brooklyn, New York, while I was pastor in that city. I had felt the need of a hymn to aid seekers of heart purity while at the altar. I had desired something, simple in expression, true to experience and ending in the fulless of love. The tune composed by Mr. Fischer, with the first two lines of the chorus, I had seen, and was much pleased with their simplicityy. And as I was sitting in my study one day, the line of thought came rushing into my mind, and I began to write, and in a few minutes the hymn was on paper.”William McDonald, 1870 It was first sung at aNational Campmeeting, June 22, 1870. The words were first published in The American Baptst Praise Book, 1871.Music: William G. Fischer, 18701. I am coming to the cross;
I am poor, and weak, and blind;
I am counting all but dross;
I shall full salvation find. ◦ I am trusting, Lord, in Thee,
Blessed Lamb of Calvary;
Humbly at Thy cross I bow,
  Save me, Jesus, save

    Our rendition of the Classic Hymn  "My Jesus I Love Thee" ( instrumental)Guitars, Flute, Oboe, French Horn, and Acoustic Bass16 years old  William Ralph Featherston  wrote "My Jesus I Love Thee" as a poem  in 1864. Later on, in 1876 Adoniram Gordon added music to itMy Jesus, I love TheeMy Jesus, I love Thee, I know Thou art mine;For Thee all the follies of sin I resign.My gracious Redeemer, my Savior art Thou;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.I love Thee because Thou has first loved me,And purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree.I love Thee for wearing the thorns on Thy brow;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.I’ll love Thee in life, I will love Thee in death,And praise Thee as long as Thou lendest me breath;And say when the death dew lies cold on my brow,If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.In mansions of glory and endless delight,I’ll ever adore Thee in heaven so bright;I’ll sing with the glittering crown on my brow;If ever I loved Thee, my Jesus, ’tis now.William Ralph Fea
