Through those endeavors how often do we walk away or lose sight? Moreover, do we have anyone to support us and do we support those around us? I recently saw a video going viral showing a child doing a box jump with the support of her coach/parent. The intensity and tenacity of the kid, the support they received, and the elated celebration of achievement really hit home. I wanted to address the inspiration and life lessons and small child can teach us for our everyday lives. How many times have you been called out by the "vegan police" for something outside of your control, rather it be unknowingly eating something with dairy or taking a medication after surgery? A recent post on Facebook stirred up some conversation about a young lady who needed dental work. She was avoiding necessary health care out of the fear of having animal products injected into her body. Though I can understand her concerns it's important to be sure you put the oxygen mask on yourself first. It's hard to be a voice for the voiceless when a tooth infection kills you. ----- No one has Perfection We all contribute in some way such as a bug hitting our windshield, unknowingly stepping on an ant, or a field mouse that dies while a farm harvests carrots. We certainly could learn something new from her and about ourselves with each show. It's safe to say this episode will give you the ability (and permission) to have some inner reflection. After this episode you'll have the tools to be comfortable in who you are and begin to rebuild. Through all of our laughs, and nearly blowing out Matt's ears, Jen made amazing points. She really forced us to think about how we view ourselves, how those views are part of who we are, and how our thoughts are not really us. We covered quite a bit on the show, to say the least.
