Revelation chapters 17 and 18, and the Fall of Babylon, an event that happens during the 2nd half of the tribulation.

The dragon stood on the shore of the sea. And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads.

All of heaven sits in amazement, along with the author of Revelation, John, to see what will unfold after Jesus opened the seals on the scroll.

In the book of John, he saw Jesus and pointed him out. “Behold, the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.”

10 I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

God uses ordinary people to just do the right next thing and he takes care of the big picture.

Let’s not give because we feel guilty or think we can save the world, but because we are partnering with Jesus, and partnering with good, people and we are shining like stars in the universe as we hold out the world of life.
