  • AES Episode 8 - The Do Not Play List

    08/09/2012

The PLAYLIST...and how to trust the band leader.    Since most of our couples are really concerned with avoiding "cheesy" songs...and most of them want to include their favorite songs and artists...creating a playlist makes a lot of sense.    The Do Not Play List lets your band leader know the songs you don't want. And a requested song list tells him the songs that are important for you.    Now, it's a great idea to include your favorite tunes in your wedding reception.  It's an easy way to make your wedding even more personal and meaningful when you hear a song that makes it really feel like YOUR day.    But here's where it gets tricky...    You can't "make" your guests dance to the music you choose any more than you can "make" them have fun.    Even if you've chosen the coolest songs in the world...if you're guests don't respond to them...you're stuck with an empty dance floor.Want the rest of this report?Signup for our FREE NEWSLETTER on the

    07/09/2012

5 Insider Secrets Once you’ve spent all that time planning the look, the feel and they style of your wedding, it makes sense that you want to enjoy the day, right?    Talk to pretty much any bride after her wedding and she’ll tell you, “It all went by so fast!”    Here are a few wedding insider tips that will help you relax and enjoy every moment. SECRET # 1 – Allow lots of extra time in your wedding day.    Wherever you can, allow for extra time.  Think it will take you an hour to get ready?  Give yourself two.    Most brides forget to allow enough travel time.  It takes longer than 5 minutes for your girls to pile into the limo; remember to allow time to arrange dresses, gather bouquets left in the church and take a quick bathroom break.    You can never have too much time on your wedding day.  Those breaks and gaps will be a welcome chance for you to relax, breathe and take it all in. Want the other 4 secrets?
