Jonathan Baker, Headmaster, Victoria Botting, Head Girl and Callum Ashton, Head Boy, Shipston High School Everyone at TMIK was on their best behavior when the Headmaster of Shipston High School brought his Head Girl and Boy to the TMIK studio. (Quite a challenge as Jackie was still in full belly dance makeup, having taken part in the Shakespeare’s Birthday Parade as one of the members of Miramar. She had time to get changed, luckily!) The school is one of the area’s success stories. Jonathan, Victoria and Callum tell us why – a family atmosophere with mutual respect seems to be the order of the day. Victoria tells us about her focus on charitable causes and Callum displays his musical prowess. It’s all very impressive! The selection process is much more stringent than when Jackie was at school! Having already been a guest on TMIK to talk about her love of all things salsa, Dr Angie Williams returns to the show to talk about her research at Cardiff University into the media’s representation of older people. Angie is a Social Psychologist and discusses the scope of the project, which looked at UK media and advertisements and also canvassed a wide range of people on their views. This Much I Know’s first outside broadcast! We were offered a “behind the scenes” visit to Whichford Pottery and this show follows the whole pottery-making process from raw material to finished item. Jackie interviews the craftspeople involved in all the stages of production and even has a go at throwing a pot! (Definitely the comedy section of the show!) What a privilege to watch such skilled people making something so difficult look so easy! Also, a big thank you to everyone at Whichford for making us so welcome. Sally, a local dog and horse whisperer, inspires us all to believe that good behaviour from your canine companions is an achievable objective, no matter how unruly they are at the start of her training.  It’s as much about educating the owners as it is about educating the dogs!  One of Sally’s clients, Ilona, talks about a real life and very moving case study.  Sally discusses other case studies when dogs with totally unacceptable behaviour have been reformed!  If you are thinking of getting a dog or have a dog with a training issue, you need to hear this!
