God has determined that all are sinners and we fall short of God’s perfect glory (Rom 3:23, Eccl 7:20) 2. A prerequisite for intimacy with God is personal holiness (Heb 12:14). 2. “Salvation” is not the ultimate goal; sanctification is (Heb 10:14, 2 Cor 3:18; John 17: 18-19, I Thess 5:23) 3. When you think of words like “sin” and “holiness”, it’s much more than what you stop doing, it is an action word that requires our participation (I Peter 1:13a, 15b) 4.
