Audio Only. ‘Love one another as I have loved you.’ This not only summarises the gospel, it also summarises the meaning of human sexuality: for the call to love as Christ loves is inscribed by God right in our bodies as male and female. Join Christopher West, as he looks beyond mere prohibitions to the overall biblical vision of sexuality that provides the truth that sets us free to love in God’s image.

Audio Only. ‘God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing.’ (Psalm 68:6) God invites us all to come home into the loving, hospitable relationship between Father, Son and Spirit. Because we have been welcomed into God’s hospitality, we are asked to also invite the strangers in our midst into that same welcome. Whether in our family, church-family or wider communities, how do we extend this invitation to the vulnerable and marginalised? How can this be sustainable and wise while reflecting the profligate generosity of God? Come and hear from a panel with experience of hospitality within a variety of contexts.  ‘I was a stranger, and you invited me in.’ (Matthew 25:35)

Audio Only. Releasing and multiplying young leaders is a hallmark of growing churches and organisations. Packed with vision, challenge and inspiration, this session will practically equip you to move beyond tokenistic gestures and engage in the dangers and delights of raising up young leaders in your context.

Audio Only. People in the church can be suspicious of the term ‘leadership’ because it sounds secular and modern. However, deep in Christian tradition, monastic wisdom has honed principles of leadership based on the teaching of the gospel for more than fifteen centuries. These principles are enshrined in the Rule written by St Benedict for monks and nuns in the 6th century. Fr Luigi Gioia will introduce these principles, applying them to the life of our communities today and looking at how they aid evangelisation.

The recent report ‘Church Growth in Britain: 1980 to the Present’, edited by David Goodhew, recommends that every Anglican diocese should have a church-planting strategy. In the United States, church planting has already been acknowledged as the most effective method of seeing the church across the nation grow.

He will draw upon his experience of working with church leaders at all levels, and present specific advice for mitigating the painful and unnecessary politics that prevents well-intentioned people from bringing others to God.

Tim has spent significant time seeking to understand the important contributing factors behind church growth. This seminar will equip you with ways that you can drive growth in your own churches and others.

With a look at the new Worship Central Course – an exciting resource that is being used all over the world ­– Tim will unpack how we can cultivate communities of worship and build effective teams that will lead with great humility and skill.

Besides faith, vision, character and courage, which would be vital in this venture, we will explore some leadership principles and the biblical paradigm for community transformation that will help us anchor such an adventure of faith.
