  • 017 (Hurt)

    10/06/2022 Duração: 02h36min

We do a horrific rendition of Johnny Cash's cover Of Trent Reznor's Hurt. I forget what we talked about, but it was definitely cool things and fun things and boring things and guns, too.    Our goal is to get the episode length down to roughly an hour or so. We keep failing, but— it is what it is.  email us gonepostalpodcast@gmail.com

  • 016 (A Trip To Maple Street)

    30/05/2022 Duração: 02h18min

Email us at gonepostalpodcast@gmail.com George Bush's Iraq war gaffe turns into 2 hours of violent tangents , and loads of uninformed skullduggery. We make our way to the episode of the Twilight Zone— The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street. The analogous nature of that episode to our current cultural standing is nothing short of astounding.

  • 011 (Breakdown)

    16/04/2022 Duração: 02h03min

Today, we start anew. Pat has promised regular, new episodes many times over since he began this podcast, 7 years ago. He's never delivered. It's time to change that.  In this new era of Gone Postal, Pat will be teaming up with one of his co-workers, and great friends, Scott. He grew up in NY, moved fo Florida for some time, and made his way back to NY in 2016. The rest is history.  Our goal is one episode per week. Expect chaos. The 90's is the glue to our bond. We're bowling rivals, political enemies, and trash talkers.  Our first episode dives into politics, and how the messenger dictates our emotions and conclusions about everything, as mainstream media becomes an extension of the abscess that is social media, ie twitter and facebook. Side note: Pat ate a 100mg caffeine capsule before this episode started, and as a result, he grew more and more obnoxious and talkative.

  • 010 (I Used To Be A Mail Carrier)

    22/04/2020 Duração: 30min

Insightful postal talk. I realise that you used to be a mail carrier, but I don't need to be reminded every time we see each other.  Also, just how do you fill out a 3849?    Music: Behold.. The Arctopus - Alcoholocaust Bonobo - Nothing Owed Camel - Nimrodal - The Procession Earth - Site Specific Carnivorous Occurence Sonofnothing - Always Clouds Sonofnothing - Descending Postal Content - 7/7 Sneaky Whistling Bluppies

  • 009 (Dreamt A Virus)

    29/03/2020 Duração: 46min

Ok, I know that nobody likes to listen to other people's dreams. Despite that, I recklessly fail to capture the terrifying reality of what I went through.  My wife and I watched The Ring last night, and I realised that the '7 Days' thing was already done. I saw that movie almost 20 years ago when it came out, and maybe my subconscious utilized that trick, but I doubt that.. I am the worst at remembering anything about a movie I've seen.  I talk a little about the COVID-19 and how we're dealing with it at the post office, but I will do another episode and go into further detail, and read some of the literature the USPS has been sending us.    Music: Godspeed You Black Emporer! - Mladic MO75 - Like Falling Leaves Art Blakey - In Walked Bud Arturo Sandoval - Suavito Miled Davis - Will O' The Wisp Milk -  Hunting Like Animals   Postal Content - 1/5 hand wigglers

  • 008 (Shallow)

    22/01/2020 Duração: 56min

Some rambling about pop music, because it all sounds the same. Snow turns to ice, you're lazy, and working the day after a holiday is usually something that causes great anxiety, hence why 3 carriers called out today.    Music: The Alchemist - Back Again The Andrews Sisters - Chatanooga Choo Choo The Adventures Of Silver Spaceman - If We Could   Friends podcasts: The After Movie Diner The Motern Media Infomercial Podcast

  • 007 (Ringing In The New Year)

    11/01/2020 Duração: 48min

I apologize in advance for the sounds of my car as I row through the gears. Alexa calls it 'The Train'. I always make promises to myself that I never follow through on. However, I vow to release a new episode bi-weekly, or tri-monthly, but always non-binary. Don't assume my podcast's frequency.    Music By  Sonofnothing - Junk Two Sonofnothing - Heavy Guitar Tortoise - Gameta Rage Against The Machine - Year Of the Boomerang   Check out my friends' podcasts! • 006 (Count Me In)

    14/02/2018 Duração: 01h39min

The latest, insufferable ramblings of the Sonofnothing.   Check out my new podcast! FRIENDS & 40s   Lucid dreaming, can you achieve it? Buy your own mechanics tools! Buy less Amazon, play more drums! CREATE! The upcoming 2018 USPS rural mail count. Our union sucks. Sending secretive gifts. I am your child's protector by proxy. Hi Ali!   **Btw, I actually did have some night jobs. I delivered pizza and eventually made food, did restaurant warehouse runs with the boss, and basically was his right hand man for a little while there. The deli slicer claimed one of my fingertips while slicing meatballs. Classic newb move. I also stocked shelves at the Commissary on West Point for a few weeks with Shari and Steve

  • 005 (My Name's Not 'Yo')

    26/01/2018 Duração: 01h11min

The latest, insufferable ramblings of the Sonofnothing. This one is relentless, like a good water boarding. I rant about drivers braking uphill, laziness at the gym parking lot, rude strangers, rushing, taking our time, meditation, and probably a bunch of other inane badinage. RIP Dolores O'Riordan. The Cranberries were one of those upper echelon bands from the 90's that regularly and loudly played in my household. Revisiting No Need To Argue is a time warp, and it is truly one beautiful album. The album is playing throughout the podcast. Check out New Paltz native (@aub.had), Aubrey Haddard and her band, Breakfast For The Boys Thanks Ali for the Netflix, and giving me hope. You are a beauty. Now, take your scrubs off, eat some pizza, and quit worrying about it.  Postal Content 4/10 vesica piscis   Music: Aubrey Haddard - Walk Away Sufjan Stevens - The Mistress Witch From McClure Of Monsters And Men - Slow And Steady Sonofnothing - Blew It

  • 004 (Interactions)

    18/01/2018 Duração: 01h13min

Your dog sounds funny inside your house. Some of them crash into the front door when I'm right outside it. Sometimes I long for love, sometimes I fear interaction with any other person. I'm a wicked mess, and we break it down, piece by piece. Cory Cartwright @tattooartcoryc made a sweet tattoo on my hand recently. Seinfeld references, and why they annoy the living hell out of me.    Postal Content - 3/10 stars   Music: Loden - Sidewalk The Locust - Pulling The Christmas Pig By The Wrong Set Of Ears Paul Simon - Was A Sunny Day Emma Caiman - Harvest Tim Shipman - Gimme Gimme Mount Eerie - Real Death, Seaweed

  • 003 (#Me Too)

    26/10/2017 Duração: 40min

Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump. Samantha Lee Ciota, Sandra Mayfield, Danielle Matko, Christine Taylor.   Sexual abuse is a real problem in the world. I would be willing to bet that the United States is still the best place to live for any human of any gender or ethnicity. We can't trivialize what happens to women in America, but we need to address the situation with the truth that all men and women are capable of abusing our status or wealth to coerce others, sexually.      Music: Kaki King, Explosions In The Sky, Abdel Halim Hafez, Circa Surive, Pink Floyd, Forgetting Tomorrow, The Herbalizer, Grails, Lilacs & Champagne.

  • 002 ( I'm Baaaaack)

    29/01/2016 Duração: 01h10min

Coming at you live from the abode on New Hackensack. Bowling has been consuming my life this year, and I geek out some more about that. I posted some new music on SoundCloud including a Chelsea Wolfe cover and some new doom/stoner metal. The folks over at Recording Review really came through and let Mercedes know how bad ass of a vocalist she is. Thanks Emma, Stan Halen and fHumble fingas! In the Postal world, I talk about my experiences in my new office, delivering to private roads, or houses who's boxes aren't on the same road. Customers who complain about not getting mail when there's a snow storm that crippled the East Coast last weekend. Think about it fool! How much do you know about your Thrift Savings Plan? Have you diversified your portfolio? Are you in a Lifecycle fund and just letting it ride, like I used to? Think about your future! I'm on a new kick, and now have a Bloomberg Business APP. For REAL??! Damn, shit has changed.    Postal Content 7/10 stars   Music: Justin/Elliot/Blaed/Joe - Vicarious
