A total of 100 Mercedes ISD students from Kennedy, North, Travis and Hinojosa Elementary were given a presentation on Wednesday about robotics and aerospace engineering by local robotics expert, Heriberto Reynoso. "It was really good and we learned a lot about robots," said Michael Carrion, Kennedy Elementary fifth grader. “I want to build robots too.”

Editors of Latino Education talked about the issues of HB5. The bill calls for an over hall of exit exam testing and brings a more strict standard to public schools with a rating system. The goal of the bill is to have students career and college ready after high school.
